Jackson-South.jpgThe purpose of this project is to resolve existing roadway deficiencies while safely and efficiently accommodating current and future traffic volumes and improving system linkage.
Primary transportation needs that were addressed included:

  • Improve system linkage
  • Provide system continuity
  • Accommodate travel demand
  • Correct roadway and bridge deficiencies
  • Accommodate non-motorized transportation modes
  • Improve traffic safety
  • Reduce geologic hazard potential

Several committees were formed to make sure agencies, local government and community groups were included in the planning and development of the projects.
