In order for entities to be eligible to receive Local Government Transportation Program funding, an employee of the entity must attend and successfully complete a Local Public Agency (LPA) Certification class.  Certifications are valid for three years.  After the initial three-year period, a one-time extension may be requested.  The request should include a letter outlining the federal projects that you have participated in and should document a lack of significant deficiencies in these projects as well as the date of the original certification.
The class is offered twice a year (spring and fall). A registration link can be found on the Wyoming Technology Transfer Center’s webpage.
