US 85 north of Cheyenne to get pavement overlay

Simon Contractors and Subsidiaries submitted the low bid of $3.2 million to mill off deteriorating pavement and replace it with a new layer of pavement on eight miles of US 85 about 12 miles northeast of Cheyenne. US 26 west of Riverton to get pavement overlay, bridge rehabilitation

Lander’s High Country Construction won a nearly $5 million contract for a pavement overlay, bridge rehabilitation and safety improvements on four miles of US 26 west of Riverton. Passing lanes planned for US 20-26 west of Casper

Five passing lanes will be added to US 20-26 between Casper and Waltman under a $3.5 million contract won by Cheyenne’s Knife River. Three of the passing lanes will be for eastbound traffic, and two for westbound. The project will be funded with revenue from the 10-cent fuel tax increase, and the work is scheduled to be complete by Oct. 31, 2016.

WYO 59 passing lanes to be built with 10-cent fuel tax revenue

Hedquist Construction of Mills submitted the low bid of $6.5 million to add seven passing lanes to WYO 59 between Bill and Wright. Four of the passing lanes will be for northbound traffic and three for southbound. The project will be paid for with revenue from the 10-cent-fuel-tax increase, and the contract completion date is Oct. 31.

Pavement preservation work on WYO 24 to be paid for with fuel tax increase revenue

Worland’s McGarvin-Moberly Construction won a $2.3 million contract to grind off deteriorating pavement and replace it with a new layer of pavement on 9.5 miles of WYO 24 from about 5 miles south of Hulett to about 3 miles north of town.
