Commission awards $35 million in highway contracts in November

WYDOT opens new section of WYO 59 near Gillette on Nov. 4

Traffic is now open on a newly relocated 4-mile section of WYO 59 north of Gillette, near Eagle Butte Coal Mine. The Wyoming Department of Transportation opened the road to traffic at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4. WYDOT closed the old section from the Dry Fork Station to Little River Road also on Nov. 4. WYDOT starts customer satisfaction survey calls

The Wyoming Department of Transportation wants to know how the public feels about how the department is performing. The Wyoming Survey and Analysis Center at the University of Wyoming will start calling Wyoming residents this Thursday, asking them to complete a customer satisfaction survey for WYDOT. WYDOT reopens Fort Steele rest area

Motorists traveling on I-80 between Rawlins and Laramie will now be able to access the Fort Steele rest area. The Wyoming Department of Transportation reopened the Fort Steele rest area on Tuesday.
