Section of US 287 south of Lander moved to 70 mph speed limit

A 2-mile section of US 287 south of Lander has been moved to the new 70 mph statutory speed limit set by the 2016 Legislature. The higher speed limit is now in effect on a total of 3,411 miles of highway. Pine Bluffs rest area on I-80 closed for repairs

The Pine Bluffs rest area on I-80 will close on Monday so crews can perform curb and gutter repairs to the sidewalk and parking lot. The rest area, which is just before the Nebraska border, will need to be closed so crews have room to work and to give the concrete a chance to dry. Tow plows to clear highways in Douglas, Gillette, Patrick Draw and Riverton areas this winter

WYDOT is adding tow plows to its maintenance fleet to improve the efficiency of snow plowing on highways in the Douglas, Gillette, Patrick Draw and Riverton areas this winter.
