Aeronautics Division
The Aeronautics Division is home to Air Service Development, Engineering and Construction, Flight Operations, Planning and Programming, and Unmanned Aircraft Systems. These five programs play a critical role in enhancing and promoting aviation and air service across the state of Wyoming. Publicly owned state airports depend on their facilitation of state and federal funds for project planning, improvement, and construction, ensuring safe and effective air travel for the public. Beyond public service, this Division provides air transport for the Governor and state employees on official business using two aircraft and a team of skilled piolots. They also actively ensure the safe and responsible use of unmanned aircraft statewide. This high-functioning team must exemplify a dedication to safety and excellence to forge the strong relationships essential for sustaining this vital system. Operating in a tightyly governed field requires strong technical skill, critical thinking, and a solid moral compass. To meet industry demands and ensure excellence, the Aeronautics Division's strategic plan focus on proactive analysis and communication initiatives to provide valuable data, drive innovation, and build upon their processes.
