WYDOT's Financial Services Division is comprised of five programs that handle much more than just managing finances. With a budget exceeding $1.5 billion derived from numerous funding streams, the Budget, Grants and Contracts Policy, Financial Services, Fuel Tax Administration, and Procurement Services programs meticulously oversee the origin of funds and ensure their judicious expenditure. Through strong internal and external collaborations with government bodies and stakeholders, they are crucial in ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations when procuring goods, excecuting contracts, and securing necessary resources. As no organization can function without people and money, this Division ensures WYDOT has both, effectively managing funds and ensuring the workforce is paid punctually. Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to upholding integrity and accountability, this Division's employees are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of managing these highly scrutinized funds. With these principles guiding them, the Financial Division's strategic plan focuses on using improved communication and innovative idea gathering to increase internal and external education and transparency.
