The WYDOT Aeronautics team is excited to introduce our new Education and Outreach programs which are designed to advance aviation-related education and outreach opportunities throughout the state; deepen the relationship between WYDOT Aeronautics and the public; engage with aviation stakeholders in each community; and promote safe, excellent and sustainable aviation across Wyoming.

In order to collectively promote a safe, excellent, and sustainable aviation future for Wyoming, WYDOT Aeronautics is committed to keeping aviation stakeholders and the general public "in the know" about our ongoing efforts and future plans by fostering transparency and engagement.

AeroInfo, a GovDelivery subscription-based program, is designed to provide timely, accurate, and accessible communications on aviation-related matters to pilots, airports, businesses, educators, elected officials, and the general public. The program may be used for aviation events, operational notices, public notices, safety updates, airport closures, education and outreach, employment opportunities, and community engagement initiatives.



WYFly Passport Program

The WYFly Passport Program is for education and entertainment purposes only. Participation may involve flying to or driving to various airports, and all participants are responsible for their own travel planning, decisions, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Participation is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk. Participants must prioritize safety by adhering to all applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, as well as federal, state and local laws.

WYDOT Aeronautics operates a mobile flight simulator which is available for educational events, school outreach programs, airport fly-ins and more. The simulator provides an immersive, safe environment for introducing students and the public to the fundamentals of flight, cockpit operations, and Wyoming's unique aviation conditions.
