Aeronautics Commission to meet Feb. 21-22 in Cheyenne

The Wyoming Aeronautics Commission will meet Feb. 21-22 in Cheyenne for The Wyoming Airport Operator Association’s Legislative Reception and its regular business meeting.

The legislative reception begins at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 21, at Little America Hotel and Resort, 2800 W. Lincolnway.

The commission will meet at 7 a.m., Feb. 22, for breakfast at Little America Hotel and Resort’s Hathaway Restaurant followed by the business meeting 8:30 a.m. in the Wyoming Department of Transportation auditorium at 5300 Bishop Boulevard.

The commission will be updated on and discuss the Air Service Enhancement Program and unmanned aircraft systems as well as vote on potential changes to the Wyoming Aviation Capital Improvement Program budget.

The commission may hold an executive session at the end of the meeting if necessary.

Commission meetings are open to the public.

The next regularly scheduled business meeting will be April 9-10 in Cheyenne.

The seven commissioners, appointed by the governor for six-year terms, approve grants and loans of state and federal money for airport construction, maintenance, improvements, marketing and air service enhancements.

The commission holds six in-person meetings per year.
