WYDOT to close Teton Pass Sunday morning, Feb. 18 for avalanche control

February 17, 2018

The Wyoming Department of Transportation will close the Teton Pass (WYO 22) at 3 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18 for avalanche control.

Reduced visibility, winter driving conditions and an increased avalanche hazard may result in an earlier closure. WYDOT will not allow overnight parking at the summit of Teton Pass. Highway travelers and backcountry users should plan accordingly.

Motorists can visit WYDOT’s 511 website for the latest road and travel conditions. They can also sign up for 511 Notify for email or text alerts.
