Fremont County law enforcement officers make nearly 500 traffic stops over July 4 weekend and arrests 11 impaired drivers

As part of a county-wide, multi-agency Impaired Driving Enforcement Operation this past July 4 weekend, Fremont County law enforcement officers stopped 496 vehicles and arrested 11 impaired drivers. During the four-day operation, the focus was on impaired drivers, but area law enforcement also issued 148 speeding citations, 15 safety belt citations and issued 288 warnings. Pavement improvement project begins Friday near Shoshoni

A $1.25 million pavement improvement project is scheduled to begin Friday in the Town of Shoshoni, and then it will work its way west of Shoshoni on US 20/26/WYO 789.
