Aeronautics Commission to meet Dec. 16-17 in Cheyenne

 The Wyoming Aeronautics Commission will meet for a workshop and business meeting on Dec. 16 and 17 in Cheyenne.
 
The workshop will start at 1 p.m. on Dec. 16, and the business meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 17. Teleconferencing will be provided for the business meeting only, and the telephone number to join is (888) 531-9486.  Both meetings will be held at 5300 Bishop Blvd. in the I-80 room of the Training building at WYDOT headquarters in Cheyenne.
 
During the workshop, commissioners will hear an end of year overview for the Wyoming Aviation Capital Improvement Program (WACIP), and federal eligibility and Priority Rating Model information. The workshop also includes two airport sponsor presentations for Pinedale and Torrington, and a short training on the newly implemented BlackCat Database system.

At the business meeting, the commission will vote on WACIP budget modifications for fiscal year 2020, the proposed budget for fiscal year 2021, and the proposed plan for fiscal year’s 2022-2025. Additionally, commissioners will hear program updates.

The commission may hold an executive session at the end of the meeting if necessary.

Following the meeting, the commissioners will drive to the Loveland Airport to tour the facility’s remote tower.

Commission meetings are open to the public. The commission’s next meeting will be Jan. 23 in Cheyenne.

The seven commissioners, appointed by the governor for six-year terms, approve grants and loans of state and federal money for airport construction, maintenance, improvements, marketing and air service enhancements.

The commission may hold up to six in-person meetings each year.
