Aeronautics Commission to meet July 15-16

The Wyoming Aeronautics Commission will meet for a business meeting, workshop and airport tour July 15-16 in southeast Wyoming.

The commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. July 15 for a dinner at Rib and Chop House in Cheyenne and at 8:30 a.m., July 16 for a business meeting followed by a workshop. After lunch the commission will tour Phifer Airfield in Wheatland, Wyoming at 1:45 p.m.

At the business meeting the commission will vote on Wyoming Aviation Capital Improvement Program (WACIP) budget modifications for fiscal year 2019 and an Air Service Enhancement Program application.

The workshop will cover use of a new database, BlackCat.

The commission may hold an executive session at the end of the meeting if necessary.

Commission meetings are open to the public. The public may join Wyoming Department of Transportation staff in the WYDOT executive staff conference room at 5300 Bishop Blvd.

The commission’s next meeting will be Sept. 11-13 in Casper.

The seven commissioners, appointed by the governor for six-year terms, approve grants and loans of state and federal money for airport construction, maintenance, improvements, marketing and air service enhancements.

The commission holds six in-person meetings per year.
