Construction report for Sept. 28 UW game

LARAMIE, Wyo. – Fans traveling to the University of Wyoming football game against the UNLV Rebels on Saturday, Sept. 28, should expect the following activities and/or construction projects:

In the City of Laramie:

  • Construction work will be suspended on Grand Avenue between 3rd and 15th streets. All lanes will be open.

Between Cheyenne and Laramie:

  • Shoulder work continues between Buford (MM 335) and Vedauwoo Road (MM 329) in both directions of I-80. All lanes will be open.
  • A concrete repair project continues on I-80 eastbound between Roundtop Road (MM 357) and I-25 (MM 359). Drivers can expect lane closures and reduced speed limits.

Between Casper and Laramie:

  • No construction activities.

Between Rawlins/Carbon County and Laramie:

  • WYO 130 over the Snowy Range and WYO 70 over Battle Pass remain open for the season.
  • A paving and bridge repair project continues from just east of the Herrick Lane interchange (Exit 297) to Quealy Dome Road (Exit 290). Drivers should be prepared for lane closures and reduced speeds.
  • Paving is ongoing in the eastbound lanes of I-80 from MM 275-282 (east of Arlington). Drivers should expect lane closures and reduced speeds.
  • Bridge work on Interstate 80 in eastern Carbon County continues between Elk Mountain (MM 255) and Arlington (MM 272). Drivers should be prepared for lane closures and reduced speeds in work areas.

Between Fort Collins and Laramie:

  • No construction activities.

As with all events, drivers should use caution during higher periods of traffic. If you drink, always designate a sober driver. Go Cowboys!
