I-25 OVERPASS AT WALSH DRIVE PROJECT BEGINS JUNE 1

CASPER - On Tuesday, June 1, WYDOT will be closing the Walsh Drive/Yellowstone Highway intersection and will close Walsh Drive at Provence Court. This initial project phase will involve the construction of detours for interstate traffic. When completed, southbound interstate traffic will be diverted to a new lane that will parallel I-25 within WYDOT right-of-way and the northbound traffic will be diverted to the eastbound lanes of Yellowstone Highway.
This first phase affects the Walsh Drive/Yellowstone Highway intersection only and does not affect the Western Avenue intersection or the frontage road on Evansville's side. The Walsh Drive/Yellowstone Highway will be closed for the duration of the project which is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2023.
This closure will also affect the multi-use trail, which will be closed at N. Huber Drive.
The contractor, Ames Construction, will be placing portable DMS in the area (today or tomorrow) to let drivers know of the upcoming intersection closure.
