Drivers on southbound I-25 in Cheyenne should be prepared for road work and lane closures this week as WYDOT crews repair the deck of the bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad.
Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 28 and 29, weather permitting.
During construction, the driving (right) lane of I-25 southbound will be closed in the work area, as will Exit 8B to westbound I-80. Drivers wishing to get to I-80 westbound from I-25 southbound will be detoured through the cloverleaf interchange.
In addition, drivers from Lincolnway will not be able to directly access southbound I-25 during construction.
Instead, westbound Lincolnway traffic wishing to access southbound I-25 will be detoured onto I-80 westbound to Exit 357 (Roundtop Road) and then back on I-80 east to I-25.
Eastbound Lincolnway traffic wishing to access southbound I-25 will be detoured onto northbound I-25 to Exit 10D (Happy Jack Road/Missile Drive) and then back onto I-25.
Drivers are asked to use caution in the work zone.
