I-80 road work to begin near Cooper Cove

LARAMIE, Wyo. – Interstate 80 around Cooper Cove and the Albany/Carbon county line will undergo construction this year beginning May 1.

Work will take place between mile marker 275 and 282.

Crews will rehabilitate the bridges in both the eastbound and westbound lanes this season. The westbound lanes will also be paved this year, but the eastbound lanes will be paved next year.

Drivers should be aware of the project and lane closures and reduced speed limits in work areas.

Croell, Inc., of Sundance is the general contractor for the $7.6 million project.
