Manderson-Hyattville pavement improvement project begins with culvert work

Extensions to culverts have kicked off work on the WYO 31 highway improvement project between Manderson and Hyattville.

Prime contractor on the $1.8 million project is Mountain Construction of Lovell.

The Manderson-Hyattville project includes concrete extensions, culvert extensions, minor slope flattening, and asphalt milling, an asphalt pavement overlay and chip seal.

Contract completion date is Oct. 31, 2018.

"When improvements are complete, this rural highway will have an improved driving surface and safer shoulders that will serve this part of Big Horn County very well in the future," said Michael Miller, Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer in Basin.
