Pavement improvement project begins this week between Otto and Basin

A $1.5 million pavement improvement project is scheduled to begin this week between Otto and Basin on WYO 30.

The WYO 30 project begins at milepost 106, east of Otto, and ends at milepost 112, west of Otto. Otto is about 11 miles west of Basin on WYO 30.

Prime contractor is Mountain Construction of Lovell.

"Pavement milling is scheduled to begin this week, with 20-minute traffic delays," said Wyoming Department of Transportation Basin/Worland resident engineer Michael Miller. "Paving is expected to begin the first week of October."

Miller said chip sealing is scheduled to occur next summer.

The Wyoming Transportation Commission awarded the project to Mountain Construction in mid-August. Contract completion date is Oct. 31, 2019.
