Public Safety Communications Commission to meet in Cheyenne for planning session and business meeting

The Wyoming Public Safety Communications Commission will meet in Cheyenne at May 29-30 at the Wyoming Department of Transportation, 5300 Bishop Boulevard.

The commission’s agenda includes a business meeting from 2-5 p.m., May 29 in the WYDOT Auditorium. A commission dinner will follow that night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Rib & Chop House, as well as a planning session from 8:30-11:30 a.m., May 30 in the WYDOT executive staff conference room.

The agenda includes updates on the telecommunications programs at WYDOT and consideration of new WyoLink membership applications.

The next regularly scheduled business meeting will be in Cheyenne on July 10-11.

The Wyoming Public Safety Communications Commission is comprised of gubernatorial appointees from state, county, local and federal public safety agencies and associations.

The commission is responsible for promoting the development, improvement and efficiency of public safety communication systems in Wyoming and provides administrative oversight to WyoLink, the statewide public safety radio communications system.

The commission holds six in-person meetings per year.
