LARAMIE, Wyo. – The Wyoming Department of Transportation will begin a project to resurface an 11-mile section of WYO 230 and repair a bridge structure in Albany County next week.
Work will take place between mile marker 22, which is near Sodergreen Lake, and mile marker 33, which is at the top of the canyon west of Woods Landing. The bridge structure to be repaired is at mile marker 22.34 and crosses the Pioneer Canal.
Crews with Worland-based McGarvin-Moberly Construction Co. will begin work on the bridge on Monday, April 22. During construction, one direction of traffic will be allowed across the bridge at a time. Temporary traffic signals will allow drivers across the bridge.
In May, crews will begin working on the resurfacing part of the project during daylight hours. Drivers should expect delays while the work zone is active.
The entire $4.5 million project should be mostly complete by June.
Drivers should be prepared for the project and for delays getting through the work area, particularly as the summer recreation season begins.
