Scenic Byways NOFO Amendment

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will be releasing the first amendment to the FY2023/2024 National Scenic Byways Program (NSBP) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). This amendment states that all applicants for the NSBP NOFO from FY2023 and FY2024 (who submitted an application prior to December 16, 2024) may amend or rescind their submitted applications. This amendment does not allow for new applications to be submitted. This amendment allows applicants 21 calendar days (from the publication of the amendment) to indicate whether or not they will be retaining, amending, or withdrawing their applications from consideration. If no response is provided to FHWA within these 21 calendar days, the application will be retained and considered as-is. The comment period for this NOFO amendment announcement is scheduled to end January 5, 2026.
