Second major concrete pour scheduled for Friday on North Federal Boulevard in Riverton

ConcretePaver.jpg (DCIM\100MEDIA\DJI_0017.JPG)More than 600 cubic yards of concrete are scheduled to be poured beginning at 6 a.m. Friday on the North Federal Boulevard highway improvement project in Riverton.

Heavy rains during Riverton's Memorial Day weekend led to the delay in concrete work.

All work remains dependent upon favorable weather.

During Friday's concrete pour, East Park Avenue will close at 5 a.m. Friday at its intersection with North Federal Boulevard to help facilitate movement of concrete trucks as they navigate the two-block work zone.

"To help with the flow of more than 60 concrete trucks entering and exiting the work zone, traffic signals at Main, Park and Pershing will be flashing in yellow on Friday," according to Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Robert Scheidemantel of Riverton. "We appreciate everyone's patience. If you can avoid the work zone during Friday morning's concrete pour, it will undoubtedly speed up your morning commute."

Citizens and businesses are reminded of the weekly public meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday in Riverton City Hall.
