Street closures scheduled for Pine Bluffs I-80 bridge work

Street closures are planned in Pine Bluffs over the next two weeks as construction crews set long-span girders for bridges on Interstate 80.

The closures will happen during the evening and overnight hours to minimize traffic disruptions.

The following closures are planned:

• Parsons Street will be closed June 27-29, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Beech Street will be reduced to one lane on July 5 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and on July 6 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Beech Street will be completely closed on July 7 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The bridge work is part of the Pine Bluffs Marginal project, which involves reconstructing three bridges on I-80 through that community. Construction is expected to be completed in the fall.

This year’s work complements construction performed in 2015.
