Thermopolis Streets public meeting is May 31

May 23, 2018

Citizens are invited to a public meeting about an upcoming highway improvement project inside the Thermopolis city limits on Thursday, May 31.

The May 31 public meeting will be held at the Thermopolis Fire Hall, 400 S. 14th St., beginning at 6 p.m.

The Thermopolis project is scheduled for 2020 or 2021. It involves isolated reconstruction on US 20/WYO 789, including storm drain added near the Hot Springs State Park Headquarters. The project includes Americans with Disabilities (ADA) improvements at 16 intersections, isolated replacement of broken sidewalk and curb and gutter, and asphalt milling and a pavement overlay throughout the project area (mileposts 130.82 and 133.40) inside the Town of Thermopolis.

"Business owners, Thermopolis citizens and people who drive through Thermopolis on US 20/WYO 789 should plan to attend this public meeting on May 31," said Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Kaia Tharp of Thermopolis.
