Troopers increase patrols on Teton Pass due to tractor trailers violating seasonal closure

March 9, 2017

Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers will be increasing patrols of Teton Pass (WYO 22), near the town of Jackson, in response to a recent increase in reports of tractor trailers violating the seasonal closure.

Teton Pass is closed to all tractor trailer traffic from Nov. 15 to April 1 every winter. Any tractor trailers illegally accessing Teton Pass will be found in violation of running a road closure and subject to fines.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation will also be installing a mobile variable message board with the closure messaging for added awareness.

Teton Pass will remain closed to tractor trailer traffic until April 1. For alternative routes, motorists can contact any WYDOT port of entry or permit station.
