Two-hour closure of WYO 789 planned for Friday morning between Wind River Casino and Rendezvous Road

The house is 50 feet wide, 86 feet long and 25 feet high, and this Friday, April 27, a house-moving company will be moving the structure between Riverton and Hudson.

To that end, WYO 789 will be closed 9-11 a.m. Friday from the beginning of the five-lane highway section, just south of Wind River Hotel and Casino, to the Rendezvous Road intersection with WYO 789 about two miles north of Hudson.

"Southbound traffic will be detoured on 17 Mile Road via the old highway during the two-hour closure, while northbound traffic will be detoured on Rendezvous Road (the old highway between Hudson and Riverton)," said Wyoming Department of Transportation heavy equipment operator Shane Pugh of Riverton. "We appreciate everyone's patience while the house-moving company does its job and moves the house down the road about two miles."
