June 1, 2018

A two- to three-day closure of US 20/WYO 789 is planned in Worland beginning June 5 to allow BNSF Railway crews to repair electrical issues in the highway railroad crossing.

The 48- to 72-hour anticipated closure of US 20/WYO 789 will begin about 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the west end of Big Horn Avenue in Worland.

Northbound traffic entering Worland will be detoured on WYO 432 (South Flat Road) and West River Road (WYO 433). Southbound traffic leaving Worland will be detoured on South Flat Road, according to Wyoming Department of Transportation District Maintenance Engineer Lyle Lamb of Basin.

The Culbertson Avenue bridge will remain open during the railroad crossing repairs.

"We appreciate everyone's patience as these important safety repairs take place in Worland," Lamb said.
