JACKSON, Wyo. – The Wyoming Department of Transportation’s (WYDOT), along with contract crews from H-K Contractors Inc., will begin milling a 3-mile section of US 26/89/189/191, beginning at mile marker 148.70, just south of the town of Jackson.
Drivers will see reduced lanes and speeds. During milling and paving operations, the section will be reduced to a single lane in each direction, so WYDOT is asking travelers to plan accordingly and allow themselves ample time to reach their destination.
Milling operations are scheduled to begin next Monday May 4. The work should take roughly a week and paving operations are scheduled to begin on May 11. Paving operations are scheduled to last until the first week of June.
The scope of work on this project includes milling and paving, wearing course, as well some miscellaneous work. The completion date for this project is Oct. 31, 2020.
All work schedules are subject to change. WYDOT would like to remind drivers to slow down in work zones and be alert and cautious of roadside workers. For more information on road construction, closures and weather conditions, please visit WYODT's 511 website.
