WYDOT chief engineer named interim director of Workforce Services

Gov. Matt Mead has named Del McOmie interim director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services.

McOmie has served as WYDOT's chief engineer for the past 15 years.

He will work with current DWS Director Joan Evans, who recently announced her resignation, to ensure a smooth transition until a permanent director is named.

“Del is a talented administrator and I thank him for stepping in to manage DWS until a permanent director is named,” Mead said. “I am confident DWS is in good hands.”

The governor said the search for a new director will begin immediately, and McOmie will lead the department until a new director is named.
