WYDOT schedules March 8 meeting for future projects on Warren and Central avenues

March 1, 2018

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The Wyoming Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting in Cheyenne next week to discuss and receive input on two upcoming projects in downtown Cheyenne.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 8, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Storey Gym, 2811 House Ave.

The first of the two projects is Warren Avenue from Lincolnway to 24th Street. That project is planned for 2021 and will involve a pavement overlay and upgrades to sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and traffic signals.

The second project is scheduled for 2022 and involves Central Avenue from Pershing Boulevard to 22nd Street. Like on Warren Avenue, the project involves an overlay and upgrades to sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and traffic signals.

Design work has not taken place on either project.

However, WYDOT engineers will be on-hand to discuss both projects and receive input from local citizens. That input may be able to be incorporated into the project design.

In addition, comment will be accepted for other WYDOT-related issues, including other projects.

Written comments can also be emailed or mailed to WYDOT, Attn: Matt Murphy, 3411 S. 3rd St., Laramie, WY 82070.
