WYDOT to continue work on WYO 50 in Gillette next week

GILLETTE – The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) will continue work on WYO 50 south of West Lakeway Drive beginning March 23.

WYDOT and its contractors will begin work on the remainder of the southern portion of WYO 50 beginning at the intersection of Force Road and 4-J Road. This work will extend south to the Southern Drive intersection.

Contractors will be completing sidewalks and pathway from West Lakeway south to the 4-J/Force Road intersection along with fencing, landscaping and finish work.

In addition, contractors will begin excavation and paving prep work from the 4-J/Force Road intersection south to the Southern Drive intersection. 

Traffic will encounter lane closures, head to head traffic, flagging operations, and heavy truck traffic for the next several months. 

Truck traffic is encouraged to take an alternate route to Southern Drive to access WYO 50.
