WYDOT will be patching WYO 22 this week

June 5, 2018

JACKSON - The Wyoming Department of Transportation with contract crews from Lewis & Lewis Inc. along with HK Contractors will be patching sections of WYO 22 Teton Pass starting Wednesday, June 6.

Crews will be working on patching intermittent locations on WYO 22 Teton Pass from mileposts 0.44 to 17.0, from near the Y intersection to the Idaho side of the pass. The work will take place June 6 through June 8, and then pick up again after the weekend on June 11-12 if needed. Crews are will maintain two-way traffic through the majority of the work, but a couple sections may require one-way alternating traffic. Those sections will only be paved between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., outside of commuter hours. However, most of the work will be done under two-way traffic.

WYDOT and contract crews are asking the public once again for their patience while the work is completed. Traffic speeds will be reduced, and potential stop delays could be possible between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., so WYDOT is advising drivers plan accordingly while traveling.

This is a district-wide contract patch project which repairs short sections of road in rough condition with a lift of asphalt. This type of work is longer lasting than patching potholes but not as comprehensive as a full overlay.

WYDOT would like to remind drivers to slow down in work zones, be alert and cautious of roadside workers. For more information on road construction, closures and weather conditions, please visit WYDOT's 511 website.
