A $2.6 million pavement improvement project is scheduled to restart next week between Meeteetse and Cody.
"Project work is set to resume next week, weather permitting, with seeding and other clean up. Chip sealing is scheduled for June," said Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Todd Frost of Cody. "During shoulder work, there will be speed reductions to 45 mph and possible short delays with single-lane traffic and flaggers. During chip sealing, drivers should expect delays up to 20 minutes, 24 hours a day. Traffic will be controlled with a pilot car and flaggers."
Prime contractor on the 5.4-mile Meeteetse Rim project is McGarvin-Moberly Construction Co., of Worland.
The WYO 120 project begins north of Meeteetse just west of Greybull River Road (milepost 57.924) to north of Meeteetse Rim (milepost 63.065).
Contract completion date is June 30, 2020.
Meeteetse Rim project work consists of shoulder flattening and adjustments of existing guardrail, 1 inch of asphalt pavement leveling, a 2-inch asphalt pavement overlay, and a chip-seal finish.
