WYO 335 near Big Horn to close to traffic on Dec. 18

December 11, 2019

SHERIDAN – The Wyoming Highway Patrol will be assisting with the relocation of a house near Big Horn on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

In order to move the house, the WHP will need to close access to a five mile stretch of WYO 335 in order for MDU and other utility companies to drop or raise power lines along the route. Local residents will be notified by MDU of the temporary power outages, or rolling blackouts, which should not last more than two hours.

This temporary closure is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and run for about seven to eight hours. The closure will be between mileposts 2 and 7 on WYO 335.

Local traffic will be directed to utilize Brinton Road or Bird Farm Road as a detour route during this closure. As the house heads north, traffic will be directed as to which detour to take.

For more information regarding the closure contact Laura Dalles at WYDOT at 307-752-3022, or for power questions Mel Maxted with MDU at 307-674-3544.
