WYDOT Emergency Communications
Emergency Communications' purpose is to provide reliable telecommunications for public safety and transportation efficiency.
Specifically:
- Provide WYDOT with one-stop-shopping for telecommunications, exchanging voice, data and video information between distant locations on fiber, wireless ethernet radios microwave and mobile radio infrastructure.
- Give balanced communications service and support to all customers, including other agencies as appropriate, and to meet responsibilities with due priority.
- Provide technical integration and support of electronics systems in DOT and Highway Patrol vehicles and on Wyoming roadways.
- Provide system architecture expertise for connecting distant information systems using appropriate communications.
- Provide interoperable radio communications across Wyoming and neighboring states.
