Work begins at the Y Intersection

The Wyoming Department of Transportation and contract crews began work on the Y intersection in Jackson this Tuesday, beginning with milling operations. The milling operations will take place at night, with work starting around 7 p.m. and continuing until around 6 a.m. Crews will begin paving the milled sections on Thursday, during the day. Teton Pass to close at 3:30 p.m.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation will be closing WYO 22, Teton Pass, at 3:30 p.m. today for avalanche work, which will include heli-bombing. Heli-bombing is a form of avalanche mitigation involving the placing of explosive charges, by helicopter, in strategic locations to bring down controlled avalanches. WHP rescues five children

Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) rescued five missing children during two separate incidents near Dubois, Wyoming, at the end of April 2018. During the first incident on April 27, WHP rescued two children on US 26. Troopers were dispatched to a crash that resulted in a fuel tanker truck fire on US 26, which was closed for safety reasons.
